October 21, 2011 Judgment Day: End of the World, Rapture to occur today?

It's October 21, 2011 and according to a Christian ministry, today is the real "Judgment Day!"

Harold Camping: "October 21, 2011, new Judgment Day"

Harold Camping, president of Family Stations Inc., had apologized for his wrong May 21 Doomsday prediction but insisted that the real Judgment day will be today, October 21, 2011. He called the event on May 21 an "invisible judgment" and that something did occur - something "spiritual," not "physical."

According to Camping, a fireball will said to consume the earth and rapture which will carry 200 million Christians up to heaven will occur today.

The 89 year-old retired engineer spent millions on more than 5,000 billboards and print ads worldwide to spread his May 21 Rapture prediction. A good portion of it said to have come from donations from his followers.

Through a book published in 1992, Camping previously predicted the Judgment Day to be happening in 1994. Justifying his first wrong prediction, he reportedly said "important subsequent biblical information was not yet known and there may be something he overlooked."
