Mariah Carey at Narita Airport in Japan

Mariha Continuing her promotional tour, Mariah Carey was spotted arriving in Tokyo, Japan earlier today (October 15) to find hundreds of fans waiting for her.
The “Touch My Body” songstress looked very shape motion as she strolled through Narita International Airport, stopping to take pictures with fans and sign autographs before hopping into a limousine.
During a recent interview, Ms. Carey told press that she can’t wait to have a family, though she will also be sure to make time for her singing career when she’s a mom.
“I will definitely take time off. I really have to make time to raise a family because I don’t believe in doing that half-heartedly. At the same time, I still want to make music when I want to.”

Mariah Cries at Touching Anniversary Tribute

Where has the time gone? With smiles on their faces, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated one year of wedded bliss Thursday in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort.
"It's a very special occasion," Cannon told the crowd at Moon Nightclub, where he was deejaying, "toast to everyone."
After a very private wedding a year ago, the couple decided to do the opposite for their anniversary, celebrating with a nightclub full of people. The couple did, however, dine in a private room at Simon beforehand.
Once inside the club, the couple were greeted with a four-foot birthday cake. And the surprises kept coming - at least for Carey. Unbeknownst to her, Cannon produced a video of the couple's last year, including video of intimate moments.
After the video was shown, Carey was seen crying.
"This is the most amazing person in the world," Cannon said into the microphone about his wife. "I dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is gonna last forever. She is my rock."
Carey replied: "I have the best man in the whole wide world."
The gushfest continued after a balloon drop and a clubwide toast, which Cannon dedicated to his wife.
Mariah, Nick Celebrate One-Year Wedding Anniversary in Vegas (Us Weekly)The couple - who said "I Do" in a surprise ceremony in the Bahamas last April - arrived at the Palms Casino Resort's Palms Place Thursday night for dinner with 50 pals, including L.A. Reid, Tyrese Gibson, Sanaa Lathan and Floyd Mayweather.
The venue was decorated with candle-lit tables and a sign that read, "Happy Anniversary Mariah and Nick!" Guests snacked on surf & turf, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. For dessert, they had Creme Brulee and chocolate chip cookies.
Following dinner, the group moved over to the Moon Nightclub, where Cannon surprised his wife with a video presentation of the best moments from their first year of marriage. Then, 1,000 balloons were released into the sky when the Moon roof opened as partiers toasted them.
After the couple cut into a giant pink and white five-tiered Duncan Hines Yellow cake, Cannon hit the turntables and spun tunes.

Mariah Carey Photoshoot 2008 for Parade

In the latest issue of PARADE magazine in which Mariah Carey occupies its front cover and much more, the divalicious singer had a chat with James Kaplan about leading a public life, being called, well, a "diva" and reconciling with her father. She also opened up about more personalised issues such as how she had to deal with the pains of her past to work her way back to the top. Here is the cover of the mag and a few pictures from the photoshoot (inside):

The headline is pretty intriguing as it asks: WILL MARIAH CAREY TOP ELVIS? She's sure to not just top one person. In fact, the claws will be out when she T0PPLE$ Madonna into the ground and give the washed out Queen of Pop a good ass kicking next month when they both release their albums. Many say, Mariah needs to start acting and dressing her age but Mariah says: 'I'm eternally 12. And that 12-year-old inside me is an eternal optimist.' She has a point. You're as young as you feel I guess. Anyway, I've posted the photoshoot and the exceprts after the cut.

Mariah Carry

The best-selling female performer of the 1990s, Mariah Carey rose to superstardom on the strength of her stunning five-octave voice; an elastic talent who moved easily from glossy ballads to hip-hop-inspired dance-pop, she earned frequent comparison to rivals Whitney Houston and Celine Dion, but did them both one better by composing all of her own material. Born in Long Island, NY, on March 27, 1970, as the daughter of a former opera singer and vocal coach -- and named after the song "They Call the Wind Mariah" from the popular Lerner and Loewe musical Paint Your Wagon Mariah began singing at the age of four, and was writing her own songs by the time she was attending Oldfield Middle School. She moved to New York City, the day after graduating from high school. Carey moved to New York City at the age of 17 to pursue a music career; there she befriended keyboardist Ben Margulies, with whom she began writing songs. Her big break came as a backing vocalist on a studio session with dance-pop singer Brenda K. Starr, who handed Carey's demo tape to Columbia Records head Tommy Mottola at a party. According to legend, Mottola listened to the tape in his limo while driving home that same evening, and was so immediately struck by Carey's talent that he doubled back to the party to track her down.
