Sunday evening at the Earls Court in London took place the Miss World 2011 ceremony, which had a record number of participants – 122. The 21-year-old Miss Venezuela won the diamond-shaped throne defeating over 100 beauties from various parts of the world at the 61st Miss World contest. She currently works for a broadcasting company. Her runner-ups are from the Philippines – Gwendoline Ruais (2nd place) and Puerto Rico – Amanda Perez (3rd place). The gala event ended with Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills crowning Sarcos.
